About Bet Shira Preschool

Bet Shira Early Childhood Center was established in 1967 and was then called Beth David Nursery School.  The founder of our program was Trudy Zadan.

We are located, in the village of Pinecrest in South Miami-Dade County.

Our doors are open to all

We are a nurturing and caring Conservative congregation committed to Jewish continuity, life-long education, spiritual renewal, life-cycle transitions, Kabbalat Shabbat, and holy day celebrations.

Bet Shira offers religious, educational, cultural, social programs that meet the needs of the population of our community.

Bet Shira Early Childhood Center is proud to achieve accreditation from both NAEYC and AdvancED/SACSCASI

Both Accreditations include a rigorous and transformative quality-improvement system that uses research-based standards to drive quality-improvement in high-quality early learning environments. 

These standards are research-based comprehensive quality statements that describe conditions that are necessary for early learning schools to achieve organizational effectiveness and ensure your children learn and grow. 

These Standards support an education process that is truly visionary: characterizing how schools should operate to promote a culture of continuous learning that is fluid-engaging leader, staff, and parents. The NAEYC accreditation carries with it an automatic Gold Seal Status. 

This level of accreditation is only achieved by 10% of the nations’ Early Childhood Centers.
