Bet Shira is committed to taking the necessary steps to safeguard the health and safety of our leadership, congregants, their families, our staff and volunteers. In an effort to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and to protect all involved, and in accordance with the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control, (CDC), Bet Shira Congregation campus will be completely closed as of Wednesday, March 18th.
All staff will be working remotely and will be fully accessible via email. We have also made the decision to postpone or cancel all in-person events and committee meetings through Wednesday, April 15. At this time, we do not know how long the facility will remain closed, but we will continue to evaluate the situation on a weekly basis.
Bet Shira is monitoring and following guidance issued by local, state and federal authorities, such as the CDC, to reduce the threat of COVID-19 exposure. The CDC reminds everyone to do their part to minimize the chance of further spreading the virus through preventative measures. It is important that we all follow these best practices for preventing illness and that we all remain calm as we work through this period. We are confident that this is the right decision for our community.
